Currently

This is our first time linking up with Farley's Currently at Oh' Boy 4th Grade.

Listening:  I just went out for a new food processor.  I have a whole bunch of food sensitives and make just about everything I eat.  I am always cooking and baking to keep stocked on snacks I can eat!  My little food processor always worked so well, but I had run batch after batch with it.  As I sat thinking about all the baking I needed to do this weekend, I decided to make it a much easier with a large capacity food processor!

Loving: Weekends are always great for relaxing!!  This weekend is a chilly one, so we’re all staying cozy inside together.  It is also nice to give the pups some good attention over the weekend because the weekdays get so busy!

Thinking: My sister recent moved closer and now we’ve been able to see each other once a month!!  This is much better than every 3-4 months we had to wait to see each other before.  We’re doing a 10K walk/run in April and next weekend we are going to find new workout outfits.

Wanting:  Brr….  27 degrees when my husband and I ran this morning.  I hope warm weather is headed our way!  It is getting hard to move with all the layers we have on!

Needing:  March is going to be a long month!  It is our month without any days off and lots to do.  Besides trying to fulfill our curriculum objectives, we’ve got Dr. Seuss to read and celebrate and our Leprechaun on the Shelf to visit.  Also, we’ll be trying to keep kiddos focused as we get closer to Spring Break, which is thankfully the first week of April.

Like: Sneakers – Sometimes I wish I taught P.E. so I could wear workout clothes and sneakers all the time!

Love: Stella – my wild pup who will be 1 year old this month.  I don’t think she is calming down anytime soon and I am still waiting for my other pup, Bruno, to like her.

Hate: Snakes – I just don’t like the way they slither….

Listening:  Why do I watch American Idol?!?  Every year I say that I’m not going to get hooked again…and then I do.   Saturday night is American Idol DVR night for me!

Loving: My silly 2 year old.  She has been telling my husband and I the funniest things lately.  We love how much she is learning at this stage.  Fun times!

Thinking:  I keep seeing fun patterns and colors online for Spring!  Now, I need to go shopping!

Wanting:  Spring…big time!  I can’t wait for the bright sun, warm air, and longer days!

Needing:  I am a pretty patient teacher, but this time of year I feel like my patience is tested; each and every day.

Like: TOMS, they are so cute and comfy!  I hope they stay in style for a long time to come!

Love: Tomatoes, they remind me of summer!

Hate: Tornadoes, good thing I don't live in Kansas anymore!

  1. Just found your blog through Farley's link up, and I'm excited to see the ideas the two of you will be sharing! Just like you, I've moved from the Midwest to the South. I grew up in Michigan, and I now live and teach in Georgia. I can't get over how little tolerance I have for cold weather after being here for a few years. To think I used to live in a place where there were months of highs in the teens and twenties, and now I freak out if it's in the forties! Hopefully this cold spell doesn't last long because I'm ready to spend more time outside.

    Have a great weekend!
