Clipart Challenge

Several fabulous clipartists and bloggers have come together for an amazing Clipart Challenge hosted by Primary Possibilities!  Each blogger is featuring a clipartist and a product they made using that artist's images!  This is a great way to discover new clipart creators for your summer creations.   So keep reading and following the linky at the bottom to head on to the next post!  You may even pick up some freebies along the way!

Ahoy, there!  We had a special chance to join this great idea: Clipart Challenge!  We were paired up with a clipart artist, given a clipart set from the artist, and then charged to create a learning material.  Please meet our clipart artist: Picture Paradise!

Picture Paradise features clipart created by Chris (click the picture above to find him on TpT).  His wife is also a teacher material creator, Martha from Primary Paradise.  You can image he has lots of experience creating great images for her TpT items!  Here is a great Earth Day freebie in Chris' TpT store!

We LOVED his Pirate Clipart Set!  We've always loved the pirate theme, but never had an idea for the clipart.  This challenge was the perfect opportunity for us!

When we got the clipart set, we were blown away by the variety!!  On top of blacklines for all of the graphics, there are 5 color schemes, at set of borders, a set of pirate objects, and a set of pirate words.  So much to choose from!!

Now for the challenge...how to take advantage of this great set!  We were fresh off of completing our BIG Word Work Set and thought the "aargh" would be perfect for doing a little activity for the -ar pattern.  We made a Treasure Hunt Scoot.  We hadn't done a 'scoot' activity before, so we thought we would try it out!  Here are some kiddos giving it a test .... they loved it (and it fit perfectly into our summer centers)!!
You can get a FREE copy at our TpT store!!
