Ten Pins Linky, July Freebilicous, Fourth of July Sale and Fourth of July FREE PRODUCT!!!

We are linking up with Just Reed for her Ten Pin Linky.  This week the topic is Reading Ideas;  that's an easy one for sure!  We love teaching reading and we are constantly talking about ways to make our reading program better.  Here are our 10 finds:

2 neat ways to handle Daily 5 that are new to us:

Using the SMART Board

A Punch Card System (Brilliant!)

A great Anchor Chart for Read to Someone

A "Reading Fair," which is like a Science Fair but with books (love this!!!)

Love  how they use actual examples of Non Fiction Text Features (such an important lesson)

This Anchor Chart showcases all the Reading Strategies in one place; great!

Synthesizing is difficult to teach...this just may do the trick!!!

Author's Message is a favorite lesson to teach; love how this Anchor Chart has the covers of the
books on it!  Great visual.

Our kiddos would LOVE this; Inference Investigators!
I think our kiddos would enjoy reading from our Big Books, need to give it a try this year!

We are also linking up with Freebielicious for their Fabulicious Freebies on the First! Click below to get your free set of FOUR Back to School activities!

Next up, we are linking up with Flying into First Grade! July 3rd and 4th our WHOLE TpT store will be 20% off!  If you have items wish listed; this would be the time to shop!!! Click on the sign below to head over to our store!

And, last, but not least...we have 1 more announcement!  One of our products, Question of the Day, will be FREE July 3rd through July 7th!  Question of the Day includes 200 question prompts to use with your class.  We use this each morning to start our day off on the right foot!  The kiddos love learning more about one another and we love that you can tie data and all sorts of other skills into it, very quickly and easily!

Have a GREAT FOURTH OF JULY!!!

  2. I just said DUH and hit my forehead just now when I saw the Daily 5 punch card! I absolutely LOVE it! We did a checklist, but my kids never really kept up with it... but a punch card is a great solution to this! Hahaha! Thank you soooo much for sharing! I'm mega excited right now! :)
