Five For Friday {11.1.13} AND November Currently!!!

Happy November Everyone (can you believe it's November?!?!)
Today we are linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share our week!

Each month we will be working on a reading comprehension strategy in our classrooms.  We thought it would be fun to host a monthly linky where we share tips and resources for each featured strategy.   In November we will be focusing on Making Connections.  Each Friday we will highlight activities we have done in our classrooms with that strategy.
So...come "SPARK" with us and share your tips on teaching Making Connections!  You can link up anytime this month!

On that same note...in our classrooms we send SPARK Bags (Reading Strategy Homework Packets) home with students each month.  Each SPARK bag contains parent-friendly information about the strategy for that month and a couple of activities for the family to complete together.  They have been a big hit this year.  Click here to learn more about SPARK Bags on a previous blog post.

Our hallway definitely says it's Fall!  We have scarecrows, pumpkins and apples, and even skeleton hiccups!

It was a busy week!  We did several Halloween activities from our Fall pack and today we finished the week with our Fall Learning Experiences (hosted by our room parents).  I think these kiddos will sleep well this weekend for sure!

On the teacher side of things, we were busy with report cards this week!  We are happy to say we are D.O.N.E with them!  We had a completely new system that had some major glitches so we are thankful it all worked out!

{FIVE}
We were also busy working on our Winter themed packet.  We are hoping to have this project wrapped up this weekend!

We are also linking up with Oh Boy 4th Grade for her Currently Linky (one of our favorites!)...

  2. Did the major glitches occur because of a software update? That's what happened to me, too...so now I can't work on report cards at home! Major bummer!

    Love all your fall activities...so much fun!
