Five for Friday 12.20.13

It's Friday…and for us and many of you the beginning of WINTER BREAK!!!

{ONE}
We are having a SALE this weekend!  Head on over to our store to "Fill Your Stockings!"

{TWO}
Our student gifts were a hit this year.  We made the personalized clipboards which they were really excited about!  We hope they can put them to good use to work on their homework after break.  :)

{THREE}
We continued our work with Mental Images this week.
We talked about how you use your senses to create mental images….

We also talked about the fact that mental images change throughout a story...

{FOUR}
We read the Polar Express and watched the movie this week.  Then, we created this Polar Express train to review story elements.  The students really enjoyed the movie!

{FIVE}
We have a new product in our store!  Our Math Bags have been a huge hit so we decided to make sets that can be used for specific times of the year and for holidays.  The Winter Edition of our First Grade Math Bags contain 12 math activities that are common core aligned.  Your students are sure to love the hands on Math Bag activities!   You are as well due to the fact that they are created to be very teacher friendly!  Take a look!  Don't forget they will be on sale this weekend!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL OF YOU!

  2. Those clipboards are so cute! Also, we talked about mental images this week too. I love those graphic organizers. Did you make them or find them? Would you mind sharing them?

    Thanks!
