Mentor Text 3.9.14

Good Morning!  We hope you enjoy the extra daylight later on this evening!  Today we are linking up with Collaboration Cuties for their Mentor Text linky.  The theme is Math so we chose a topic we worked a few weeks ago; doubles.  The book, Two of Everything, is a great read aloud when teaching doubles.  In this story, a Chinese farmer finds a "magic" pot.  It doubles everything that is put inside; which works out great for the most part.  Soon the farmer and his wife discover that doubling everything isn't always a great idea when they themselves are doubled!

When we discovered our kiddos needed more practice with doubles, we created this activity to work on the concept (students looked around the room for dominoes hanging and write the doubles equation that matches).  If you would like a FREE copy, click here!
