Wow! Our poor blog has been abandoned for a bit. Oops! I guess we've been enjoying our carefree summer a whole bunch!! Sooo..we're back with a fun idea! We've been having fun seeing LOTS of teachers share about their new purchases for the classroom or pics of going in to start getting the classroom ready for the new year. WELL, we're NOT ready for that!! We're not ready to be done with Summer!! Actually, we're lucky to be keeping our same rooms, so we don't have a large amount of work to do...and we have 6 teacher work days before kiddos come!! Anyways, we probably should start thinking a little bit about school (we're only a few weeks away) and thought a fun linky would be just the trick! So we've dusted off our school bags and are sharing what we keep in them.
This is the bag I am using right now. It is super cute!! I got it as a gift from one of my kiddos last year (isn't that a great idea...these canvas bags are so versatile)!
We don't have great computers at school, so I take my personal one in. It's a lot easier to work with and then I can do more fun things with the kiddos! I've got a few flash drives...I am always loosing those things!! And of course a backup lanyard can come in handy (plus then I always know where they are if I keep them in my school bag)!
I also keep a stash of snacks in my bag...never know when I may need one. The chocolate never seems to last to long in my bag...
Do you have a Scout bag? If not…get one!!! I love the "Pocket Rocket" version. There are 3 pockets on each side. Perfect for keys, your lanyard, a water bottle…your "go to" things! They are also super easy to clean!
I always have a planner in my bag (just a simple version from Office Max…I should try an Erin Condren planner sometime!), I've tried to just use my iPhone for dates but it just isn't enough…I have to have things written down! I keep an umbrella for rainy days, it always comes in handy! Lanyards are a must at our school, I prefer the Vera Bradley lanyards because they are softer around your neck than others I've tried. Post - It notes are also a must…I ALWAYS have to write myself reminders. I usually end up with books in my bag as well, either books I've bought for the classroom or books I think might be a good Mentor Text choice.
So come link up with us and show what's in your bag!! You can join us here on the blog or on Instagram with #whatsinyourbagteacherstyle! We'd love to see if there are some other goodies we should be stocking in our teacher totes!
