Using Resources Digitally for Distance Learning

Keep using your favorite PDF task sheets online with these tools to make printable resources digital!

Love teaching with your existing resources? Don't want to search for new DIGITAL resources? Here we share using 2 common platforms: Google Classroom and Seesaw to make your existing printable resources able to be used on a digital platform and shared with your students online. As shown below, you first need to create an image file (jpeg) of the task sheet you want to use digitally.
You'll need to upload that image file into the tool you choose to use!

Google Classroom
Here are some ways we have taken our Print a Standard task sheets and made them digital using Google Slides!  After making the slides, you can share them with students using Google Classroom.  Assigning Print a Standard task sheets means your students are still engaged in activities that are standards based....even when not in school!  You can be sure students work with all standards for their grade level!
Make colored circles for students to drag and 'fill in' bubble answers.
Make colored text boxes for students to drag and 'color in' the correct answer.
Make arrows for students to drag on cut and paste sheets.
Make circles for students to drag and 'select' the correct answer.
Make text boxes for students to fill in a written response.
These colored boxes help are for students to drag and identify the INCORRECT answer choice!

Seesaw

Here are some ways we have taken our Emergent Text Evidence Passages and 1st/2nd Print a Packet Reading Passages + Comprehension Tasks and made them digital using Seesaw!  Seesaw is great because it has tools that lets you draw with your finger on a tablet!  It was great for highlighting on our text evidence passages!
We put in text boxes before assigning the task to students.
Students highlight the evidence first, then type to list the answers.
We have students underline their evidence for the last written response answer.

We uploaded a whole set from our Print a Packet passages!  This includes a passage + 6 comprehension tasks!  These packs are great for a whole week's work!
We put in text boxes for the parts that have a written response.
After reading, students respond!
Here, they can draw to answer!
And they can draw lines to show the answer instead of cutting and pasting

Kami

Here we have taken our  2nd/3rd Print a Packet Reading Passages + Comprehension Tasks and made them digital using Kami!  Kami is great because it can be integrated with Google Classroom.  It seems better for upper elementary students as the tools to annotate and add notes to text are not as simplistic as in Seesaw.
We uploaded a whole set from our Print a Packet passages!  This includes a passage + 4 comprehension tasks!  These packs are great for a whole week's work!
After reading the passage, students can use the drawing tool to color in the circle to show their answer.
To answer written responses, students can insert a text box and type their answers.
More text boxes for completing written responses!
